About Me

Hi! Welcome to my little piece of the world. I started this blog in 2012 when I decided to run a marathon (California International Marathon). Since then it has become so much more than a place to talk about my training – I mean, I really only started this to hold myself accountable for what I set out to do. Run a marathon.

I still write about training for races, as well as running product and race reviews, and anything that is on my mind when it comes to training and movement. In September of 2017 I became an apprentice at BodyTribe in Sacramento, CA. Through BodyTribe, I have been fortunate to have met some amazing trainers that have opened my eyes to what is possible in the world of movement, so I am honored that I have been asked to be their apprentice, and one day a trainer. I want to show people there are so many choices of movement out there. Find something you love and do it, then find more things you love & do them!

On December 4th 2011 I went to cheer on my friend running the California International Marathon. Little did I know that day would change my life. So now here I am. I am a runner, a lover of movement, a future BodyTribe trainer, and I am looking forward to seeing what will come of this life I’ve created for myself.

  1. I stumbled across your site! I began to run this august and I started with hills! I am a social worker and I have found running to be my counseling. I started strong but because of weather, living up in the northwest it has been a challenge figuring out clothes to wear seeing that I don’t have enough to buy warm running clothes! It’s great to see others who enjoy the same passion ( my fiancé thinks I’m nuts)! Keep doing what r doing and run on girl!

    • It’s so exciting to hear other people’s love for running! It may sound silly, but running has changed my life in ways I couldn’t have imagined!
Thanks for the comment. Happy running!!
